Putting Family Values & Hard Work First<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Steve Fanelli is a successful, dedicated husband, father, entrepreneur, and community volunteer who has spent his professional and family life in service to others. Steve Fanelli wants to take that passion, energy, and drive to Congress in the service of the families, seniors, and young adults of Chester and Berks counties. Steve built his life in the 6th Congressional District and is proud to call our community home.<\/span><\/p>\n

Steve\u2019s parents, Thomas and JoAnn Fanelli, met in high school. Both were born in Philadelphia and raised by first-generation Italian-American parents.\u00a0 After serving in the Army, Thomas worked as a painter and paper hanger until he and his brother John started a successful home building company. With JoAnn managing the office, the family business expanded to include the growing suburbs of Chester, Montgomery, Delaware, and Bucks counties.<\/span><\/p>\n

Steve\u2019s values come from his parents. He believes in family, working hard and giving back to his community. He believes in setting an example for the next generation, so they develop an appreciation for hard work as the previous generations did.<\/span><\/p>\n

After graduating from Villanova University with an accounting degree, Steve worked in sales.\u00a0 His goal was to chart his own course, and to do it successfully right here in Chester County.<\/span><\/p>\n

Entrepreneur
<\/strong><\/span>In 1987, Steve moved to Willistown Township. He lived on a family farm and launched a small outdoor fencing company called Mount Eden Fence. In the first few years the company grew exponentially, changing its name along the way, but never its mission: to work diligently and with integrity, to always give back to the community and to employ the finest talent living right here in Chester and Berks Counties.<\/span><\/p>\n

Steve believes one of his greatest achievements was to grow his company\u2019s workforce from a close-knit group of three employees in the early days to a team of more than 30 professionals, serving customers throughout the eastern United States from Long Island to North Carolina.<\/span><\/p>\n

His business flourished on farms, schools, little league baseball fields and at the family homes in our community. The personal and professional relationships Steve built over the years remain strong. He is ready for the next challenge to serve his community in the US House of Representatives.<\/span><\/p>\n

Volunteer
<\/strong><\/span>As a championship lacrosse player in his own right, Steve has worked as a coach, board member of West Chester Youth Lacrosse, and mentor to hundreds of young athletes in the last two decades. He was instrumental in growing the program from 175 participants to more than 965 boys and girls in 2020.<\/span><\/p>\n

Steve has also dedicated his time to Thorncroft, a world-renowned therapeutic equestrian center in Malvern. The programs at Thorncroft specialize in horseback riding and other equine-assisted activities for children and adults with mental, emotional, and physical disabilities. Its founders, Sally and Saunders Dixon have been an inspiration to Steve and to all of those who are lucky enough to know them.<\/span><\/p>\n

Outdoorsman
<\/strong><\/span>Steve believes in maintaining the natural beauty of our state and is an avid outdoorsman. This passion developed during weekend trips to his grandfather\u2019s rustic hunting cabin in the northern Pennsylvania woods of Tioga County, where his father taught him to respect nature and wildlife. Steve has continued the tradition of spending time at the cabin fishing, shooting and hiking, with his own family. He also has been an ardent deep-sea fisherman since his teens and holds a USCG 100-ton captain license.<\/span><\/p>\n

Steve lives in West Chester with his wife Donna and their children Nicholas, Max and Ava and the family\u2019s yellow lab, Maty.<\/span><\/p>\n
